Security Procedure

Learn about the inspection process, estimated times, and restricted items to pass through security without incident.

What the inspection process involves

Prepare your belongings

Place your personal items in the trays. Remove:

  • Phone, keys, coins
  • Belt and metal objects
  • Laptops and tablets
  • LAGS (Liquids, Aerosols and Gels)
    • Place containers in a transparent, resealable bag (1 bag per passenger with a maximum capacity of 1 liter)
    • Each container must be a maximum of 100 ml.
    • The bag must be presented separately at the inspection checkpoint.

Footwear and clothing (if requested)

In some cases, staff may ask you to remove:

  • Shoes
  • Jackets or bulky garments

Baggage inspection

Place the trays into the X-ray machine and wait for staff instructions.

Passenger screening

You will need to go through:

  • Walk-through metal detector
  • BodyScan (Place your feet on the indicated marks)

Follow staff instructions.

Additional screening* (if necessary)

If the system detects an object or there is any doubt, staff may perform:

  • Manual review (caching)
  • Additional baggage inspection

If necessary, the review will be carried out in a private area.

*Due to Regulations, a random inspection may be carried out.

Special cases

Specific procedures apply to:

  • People with pacemakers
  • Passengers with reduced mobility
  • People with medical conditions
  • Babies in strollers

Recommendations for a faster process

  • Check-in in advance
  • Have your boarding pass and identification ready
  • Carry liquids organized in a transparent bag
  • Avoid unnecessary metal objects
  • Follow the instructions of the security personnel

PROHIBITED ITEMS

For security reasons, the following are not permitted in carry-on baggage:

High-risk substances due to their potential to ignite, explode, or corrode. Their transport is strictly controlled or prohibited to ensure the safety of the aircraft.
