What the inspection process involves
Prepare your belongings
Place your personal items in the trays. Remove:
- Phone, keys, coins
- Belt and metal objects
- Laptops and tablets
- LAGS (Liquids, Aerosols and Gels)
- Place containers in a transparent, resealable bag (1 bag per passenger with a maximum capacity of 1 liter)
- Each container must be a maximum of 100 ml.
- The bag must be presented separately at the inspection checkpoint.
Footwear and clothing (if requested)
In some cases, staff may ask you to remove:
- Shoes
- Jackets or bulky garments
Baggage inspection
Place the trays into the X-ray machine and wait for staff instructions.
Passenger screening
You will need to go through:
- Walk-through metal detector
- BodyScan (Place your feet on the indicated marks)
Follow staff instructions.
Additional screening* (if necessary)
If the system detects an object or there is any doubt, staff may perform:
- Manual review (caching)
- Additional baggage inspection
If necessary, the review will be carried out in a private area.
*Due to Regulations, a random inspection may be carried out.
Special cases
Specific procedures apply to:
- People with pacemakers
- Passengers with reduced mobility
- People with medical conditions
- Babies in strollers
